Accessible Seating 

The Carolina Theatre provides accessible seating at all price levels.

Wheel chair accessible seating: 

We offer wheelchair-accessible seating and companion seating in both our Orchestra and Balcony sections. 

  • Orch Right Row N Seat 2-8  
  • Orchestra Left Row M 1-7 
  • Grand Tier Right Row D Seats 1-2 
  • Grand Tier Left Row D Seats 1-2 

 

Transferable seating: 

 We have a limited number of transferable aisle seats, all located in the Orchestra center. 

  • Orchestra Center Row N seats 101 and 117 
  • Orchestra Center Row M seats 101 and 117

Assistive-Listening Devices 

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) are available free of charge at the Guest Services Desk located in the Carolina Theatre lobby. Devices may be checked out before the performance by leaving a valid driver's license as a deposit. The Carolina Theatre is T-coil compatible. Guests who use hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with a built-in telecoil can connect to the theatre's hearing loop system via Bluetooth. Additional assistance and compatible devices are available through Guest Services. Visit the Guest Services Desk with any questions or for assistance using these services. 

Service Animals

The Carolina Theatre welcome service animals that are trained to perform tasks or work with a person with a disability, In alignment with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service animals may not block an aisle or exit.

Ear Plugs

One time use earplugs are available free of charge at the guest services desk. 

Elevators

The Carolina Theatre has one main elevator located on the right side before entering the theatre on the main floor. An additional ADA-accessible elevator provides access to the Grand Tier level. This elevator is located on the right side of the Mezzanine level, behind the door at the bottom of the staircase. 

Restrooms

The Carolina Theatre offers two accessible restroom locations, both of which can be reached by elevator. 

  • The first accessible restroom is located on the Lower Level in our 100 Club. 

  • The second accessible restroom is located on the 3rd Floor. 

Each restroom location includes accessible stalls as well as private, single-user accessible restrooms, which are conveniently located just outside the women's restrooms.  

Accessible Drop Off

Accessible parking is available in the 201 N Tryon Garage deck (Located behind the Dunhill Hotel) . Each level of this parking deck is locate directly next to an elevator. The street entrance Is located on level 2 of this garage. The theatre is directly across the street on N Tryon. Additionally there is a loading zone located directly in front of the theatre that can be used as a drop off location if needed.  

First Aid

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located on each level of the theatre building (please look for posted signage). First aid kits are also available at Guest Services and at each concession stand for your convenience.
