Lucinda Williams Brings Grammy-Winning Americana to the Carolina Theatre This September

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams and her band will bring an unmistakable blend of rock, blues, folk and country to the Carolina Theatre at Belk Place on Saturday, Sept. 26. Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors open up at 7 p.m.

One of America's most celebrated and influential songwriters, Williams has spent more than four decades crafting deeply personal songs that have earned widespread critical acclaim and inspired generations of artists. Known for timeless albums including Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, Essence and Good Souls Better Angels, Williams continues to captivate audiences with performances that are as powerful and authentic as ever. In January of this year, Williams released her sixteenth studio album, World’s Gone Wrong, led by singles “The World’s Gone Wrong” and “Something’s Gotta Give”.

Williams has earned three Grammy Awards and has been recognized as one of the greatest songwriters of her generation, blending poetic storytelling with raw emotion and musical influences ranging from Delta blues to Southern rock. Her landmark 1998 album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road remains one of the most acclaimed Americana records ever released, while her live performances continue to showcase the grit, heart and honesty that have defined her career.
